The Board of Officers and Trustees of the Philippine Press Institute (PPI) also known as the national association of newspapers in the country and considered the oldest professional media organization, takes their oath of office before Chief Justice Alexander G. Gesmundo of the Supreme Court of the Philippines.
The PPI Board is composed of the following: Rolando Estabillo (Manila Standard) – Chairman and President, Ariel C. Sebellino – Executive Director, Trustee and Head of Training Operations and Special Projects, Amalia B. Cabusao (Mindanao Times) – Vice-President and Trustee for Mindanao, Atty. Ruevivar Reyes (Southern Leyte Times) – Corporate Secretary and Trustee for the Visayas, Joenald Reyes (Pahayang Balikas) – Treasurer, Marie Antoinette Ruiz (Mindanao Observer) – Trustee for Mindanao, Francis Allan Angelo (Daily Guardian) – Trustee for the Visayas, Dexter See (Herald Express) – Trustee for Luzon, Juliet Javellana (Philippine Daily Inquirer) – NCR Trustee, Alfonso Pedroche (Pilipino Star Ngayon and Philippine Star) – NCR Trustee, MIonica Macasaet (Malaya) – NCR Trustee, and Joyce Babe Pañares (Manila Standard) – Seminar Director. Except for Sebellino and Pañares, the rest of elected officers and trustees have a two-year term.
